It is such a shame that the very modern definition of the package holiday has tended to cheapen and under rate one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. I am talking about the diverse and fascinating country of Spain. Far too many underwhelming resorts cling to the long costas of this country and tourists will not generally tend to catch a glimpse of what Spain truly has to offer; while they remain within their false and comfortable, purpose-built resorts.

To really catch a taste of the cultural side of this great nation, you definitely need to head to the less touristy areas. Why not Enjoy wine on an activity holiday in Spain and really feel alive for once.

Having visited much of Spain, I definitely prefer the parts of the country that do not receive the highest numbers of tourists. Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria, in the north of the country, are perfect destinations in Spain, if you are keen to explore more remote parts.
